What is Botox, and how does it work?

Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved neuromodulator used to temporarily relax the specific facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles — the lines that show up when you frown, squint, smile, or raise your brows. Once injected, it blocks the release of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contractions; the muscle relaxes, and the line it creases into your skin smooths away for months.

Botox vs. Dysport vs. Daxxify — which is right for me?

All three are FDA-approved neuromodulators that work the same fundamental way — and Neoderma offers all three, so your provider can match the product to your anatomy and goals rather than whatever is on the shelf:
