Our story
Cynthia's search — and why it led to Korea
This treatment came to Neoderma the most personal way possible — one of our own went looking for it.
Cynthia knows what thinning hair feels like: the quiet worry, the endless products that promise volume and deliver nothing, the frustration of never finding a real answer. Instead of giving up, she set out to find one — traveling to Korea, a global leader in hair and skin science, in search of a treatment that actually worked.
There she discovered this non-surgical hair-restoration protocol and tried it herself. It worked for her— and that's exactly why we brought it home to Anaheim. We add treatments to our menu only after we've seen them make a real difference, and Cynthia's own results are the reason this one earned its place at Neoderma.
Cynthia's experience is her own; results vary from person to person.
What is Neoderma's hair restoration?
Hair follicles don't just need to survive — they need the right signals to keep producing thick, healthy hair. Our protocol delivers a concentrate of naturally occurring growth factors and signaling proteins to the scalp, helping move dormant follicles back into their active growth phase — so existing hair grows thicker and shedding slows. It's non-surgical: no transplant, no incisions.
The specific formulation and technique are part of what makes this program exclusive to Neoderma in Orange County — we'll walk you through exactly what's in it and how it works, in person, when you schedule a consultation.
How is it delivered?
The growth factors are delivered through a precise, minimally invasive scalp technique that does two things at once: it carries the proteins down to the follicles, and the gentle stimulation itself boosts circulation and the scalp's own repair response. No surgery, no incisions — each session is quick and comfortable, and numbing is available.
The science: what the studies show
This isn't a fad. The treatment approach we use has been evaluated in peer-reviewed clinical studies for both male- and female-pattern hair loss, using the same weekly protocol we follow.
Men (male-pattern hair loss)
In the published men's study, participants were treated weekly for 12 weeks:
| Measure | After 12 weeks |
|---|---|
| Hair count (density) | ↑ roughly 11% more hairs per cm² |
| Hair thickness | ↑ roughly 11% thicker strands |
Women (female-pattern hair loss)
In the published women's study, participants treated weekly for 12 weeks saw hair density and thickness increase versus baseline. Of the group followed for 6 months to a year afterward, the improvement was maintained over time.
Results above are from published, peer-reviewed clinical studies of this treatment approach — we're happy to share the full research with you at your consultation. Individual results vary with age, the stage of hair loss, and consistency of treatment.
Who is it for?
- ✓Male-pattern thinning (crown & hairline)
- ✓Female-pattern thinning (widening part)
- ✓Early-to-moderate hair loss with active follicles
- ✓Thinning after stress, illness, or postpartum
- ✓Anyone wanting fuller, thicker hair without surgery
- ✓A non-surgical alternative or complement to transplant
Honest note: this works by supporting follicles that are still alive, so it's not a fix for areas that are fully bald. It's an aesthetic treatment, not an FDA-approved drug for hair loss. If your shedding is sudden, patchy, or rapid, we'll recommend a medical evaluation before treatment.
What's the treatment plan and cost?
The proven protocol is one session per week for 12 weeks, each taking about 30 minutes. Because it's a series, we price the program as a package matched to your scalp and goals — you'll get an exact quote at your consultation. Many clients use financing to spread the cost across the 12-week course.

Does it hurt? What's recovery like?
The treatment is gentle — most clients find it quite tolerable, and we can apply a numbing solution for comfort. Afterward you may have mild scalp redness or tenderness for a few hours. There's no surgery, no stitches, and essentially no downtime — you can wash your hair the next day and return to normal activity right away.
Hair restoration FAQ
What is Neoderma's hair restoration, and how does it work?
It's a non-surgical scalp treatment that delivers a concentrate of clinically studied growth factors and signaling proteins directly to your hair follicles. Those signals help move dormant follicles back into their active growth phase, so existing hair grows thicker and shedding slows. The specific products and protocol are exclusive to Neoderma — we'll walk you through exactly how it works when you schedule a consultation.
Does it work for both men and women?
Yes. The treatment approach we use has been evaluated in published clinical studies of both men and women. In the men's study, hair count and hair thickness each increased by roughly 11% over 12 weeks. In the women's study, hair density and thickness increased versus baseline — and in the group followed for 6–12 months afterward, the improvement was maintained.
How many sessions will I need, and when will I see results?
The studied protocol is one session per week for 12 weeks. Hair grows slowly, so most people begin to notice less shedding and early density around 8–12 weeks, with fuller results building over several months. A maintenance plan helps hold your gains.
Does it hurt? Is there downtime?
Discomfort is minimal — the delivery technique is gentle, and we can apply numbing for comfort. You may have mild scalp redness or tenderness for a few hours. There's no surgery, no stitches, and essentially no downtime.
Is it a good fit for me, and is it safe?
It's best for early-to-moderate thinning and pattern hair loss where follicles are still active — not for areas that are completely bald. This is an aesthetic treatment, not an FDA-approved drug for hair loss; we offer it as a provider-administered protocol supported by published clinical research, which we're happy to review with you in person. If your hair loss is sudden, patchy, or significant, we'll recommend a medical evaluation first.
How much does hair restoration cost in Anaheim?
Because it's a weekly series over 12 weeks, we price it as a package tailored to your scalp and goals — you'll get an exact quote at your consultation. Financing is available through Cherry and CareCredit to spread the cost across the treatment course.
